Grain silo

This commanding structure measuring 83.6m in height is Basel’s third tallest building. Further impressive key data:

Covered handling and storage facility

Our water-overhanging handling and storage facility is equipped with two crane trolleys, each with a lifting capacity of 35mt. This facility is particularly suitable for the handling and storage of moisture-sensitive cargoes.

Kangaroo crane

At the port sites in Kleinhüningen and Auhafen, new high-performance kangaroo cranes operate at the silos and bulk cargo warehouses alongside heavy-duty conveyor belts. The maximum handling and conveying capacity is 600m³ per hour.

Dry bulk warehouse

This facility is operated by two strictly independent conveyor lines. This guarantees the correct separation of products at all times. Further interesting details about this structure:

  • 120m long, 45m wide, 23m high
  • Feeding stuff: 18,000mt storage capacity in 25 cells, each measuring 1,000m³
  • Fertiliser: 12,000mt storage capacity for loose and bagged fertiliser
  • Fully automated monitoring
  • State-of-the-art systems for mixing and filling fertiliser to individual customer requirements
